A BILL to amend and reenact section five, article three, chapter
twenty-two-b of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to continuing the
environmental quality board.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

That section five, article three, chapter twenty-two-b of the
code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as
amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 3. ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY BOARD.
§22B-3-5. Environmental quality board continued.

Pursuant to the provisions of article ten, chapter four of this code, and following a preliminary performance review by the
joint committee on government operations, the environmental quality
board shall continue to exist until the first day of July, two
thousand three, unless sooner terminated, continued or
reestablished by act of the Legislature.

(NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to continue the
Environmental Quality Board until July 1, 2003, pursuant to the
provisions of the West Virginia Sunset Law.
